Yes, with careful and flexible planning. Yes, with scholarships and grants based on merit, financial need, and service learning. Yes, with a willingness to consider manageable loans.
What can I do to stay in college and graduate?
Be enrolled in a college success (developmental model) program like RYE Anchor your experiences through service learning. Carefully balance college studies with your job, family, community, and other obligations.
How do I apply to be an RYE Scholar?
Fill out the online application. Contact us at NCASC or ask your ESL teacher or guidance counselor for help.
What are my obligations to the RYE program?
Regular attendance at RYE meetings. Close cooperation and work with RYE Peer Mentors and staff.
What does it cost?
The program is free. When you become a RYE Scholar we train you for education and life success. You can pay for the cost of your training by becoming a Peer Mentor and inspiring and training other refugee youth.
What is Service Learning?
Service learning is community work by students performed under the guidance of experienced leaders like Peer Mentors.
