Bob’s Closet at Replacements Ltd

  • Guilford County business Replacements Ltd.’s community outreach program, called Bob’s Closet, partners with 30 other nonprofits throughout the Triad to provide clothing to low-income families and individuals at no cost.

  • Bob’s Closet offers seasonal shopping so families can come 4 times a year and includes a week’s worth of clothing for each family member.

  • Timing: Bob’s Closet is open on Monday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Back Pack Beginnings

  • Back Pack Beginnings’ mission is to deliver child-centric services to feed, comfort, and clothe children in need.

  • When: Mondays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Tuesdays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, Wednesdays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Thursdays from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and Fridays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. 

  • No appointment is necessary for NC ASC volunteers.

Dare2Share

  • The Dare2Share ministry at Christ Church in downtown Greensboro will provide clothes to those in need.

  • Timing: Dare2Share runs through February 2023, Mondays from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

Newcomer’s School

  • The Doris Henderson Newcomers School is a kindergarten through K-12 school serving recently arrived immigrant and refugee students in grades 3-12 who are novice English speakers. Students are eligible for a maximum of 1 year of enrollment at the Newcomers School.

  • The school also has a clothing closet with items for students and parents.

Summer Clothing Giveaway

  • The Centenary United Methodist Church has a clothing ministry that organizes a summer clothing giveaway on the 3rd Saturday of each month. They also provide breakfast for shoppers.
